The students in Dr. Harvey’s classroom from Nanjing China were able to use the EON Creator App to explore details from organs. One student said “wow, I can see what the teacher meant!” During the lesson, the students were able to explore the learning in a more authentic way with the content from the pages coming alive. The EON Creator app allows students to participate in the lesson beyond what they would normally do in a 2D setting. Dr. Harvey explains that due to the nature of the content, he was able to ask students to describe the functionality of the organs and the physical processes taken place in the body.

“Immersive technology allows, at least in science, to see abstract concepts in a more co ncrete form.” (Harvey, 2017). The interactions were much more engaging because the boring content on a page had deeper meaning when provided in 3D. The EON lesson gave Dr. Harvey’s students an appreciation of the complexity of the body system.
